MARCUS JIMINEZ

I was always an athlete. Whether it was on the basketball court in college or running for the track team, being a part of a team has always been a part of my life.

After college, l started a new team as a Health & Physical Education teacher and basketball coach in Paterson and Clifton Public Schools. My goal as a PhysEd/coach is to show the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle as well as installing core values and principles players will carry with them on and off the court. It is important to me to lead by example, and so through CrossFit and Basketball I have stayed physically active. I have been involved in Crossfit for the past 2 years and coaching basketball for 3 years and this path has lead me to the team here at Mustangz

The unseen hours you put into your craft as a player or coach, the inner voice that tells you to keep going - keep pushing - this is my inner voice - and this drive is what I hope to inspire in those I coach.

MATT BREEN

Sports have been the focal point of my life ever since I was in elementary school. Because of this, I learned at a very young age that hard work, dedication, and patience were the keys to success in sports and in life.

I have been a physical education and health teacher in Hackensack School District since 2015. As a Phys Ed and Health teacher I am not only responsible for guiding student athletes in the right direction in a school setting but also in their everyday lives. Helping students understand the importance of being well rounded and proud of the consistent effort they put into something, makes what I do so enjoyable.

I am lucky enough to say that I have been coaching basketball at the high school level since 2013. I was an assistant varsity coach at Pequannock Township High School for 3 seasons and I am currently the Paramus Spartans boys JV coach. I have held my current position with the Paramus basketball program since the 2017 season. Most recently, in 2021, I was brought onto the Mustangz coaching staff. I am excited to collaborate with the other amazing coaches on the staff to help our boys and girls basketball players grow each and every day.

Donald Hennie

As a student at Dwight Morrow School in Englewood, Donald was on the McDonald’s All-American Basketball team and he went on to play for Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. After graduating he played for the Jersey Express of the American Basketball Association, where he led the league in 2006 with a 27 game point average, and then for Hannover, Germany in the Euro Basketball league.

Donald has coached the Junior Maccabi basketball team, earning 2 bronze medals.
